Bedfordshire housing association Luton Community Housing is to join Aldwyck Housing group.
The association, which owns more than 500 properties, will become part of the Aldwyck group from October.
A spokesperson for Aldwyck said it has yet to be decided whether there will be changes to LCH staff numbers or locations, or to employees’ pay and conditions.
He said the move will enable the associations to share expertise and their interest in helping unemployed people learn new skills and find work.
He said: ‘We will be able to offer LCH residents a greater range of services, for example our community involvement team are already assisting LCH.’
Lynda Rees, chief executive of Luton Community Housing, said the move will provide the smaller association with ‘more efficient administrative back up’.
Aldwyck owns or manages more than 9,000 homes across southern England, including north London.
